Area core communities from Danville to Middlburg and Selinsgrove to Milton collaborate together with the Susuqehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau and the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce to cross promote their events and educate about the relevance and critical importance of the historic centers in the region to all residents, whether "country mice" or "town mice."

 

The Downtown Affiliates as they are called have recently worked to develop a Strategic Plan for the collective effort and one of the first action items to come out of that is a new quarterly publication entitled Local Gems, Regional Riches.  This publication includes a calendar of events and updates from each of the partner communities.  The inaugural issue came out in April 2016 and the second issue came out at the beginning of July.  Copies available at the Borough Office.
