River Town Survey
The Lewisburg River Town Team got off the ground in fall 2014.  We have been running committees and projects in a number of focus areas since then, but only just this semester got teamed up with a group of Bucknell seniors in the Environmental Studies Program to follow up on one of the big to-do items from our early planning process:  a public opinion survey about the community's connection to the river. IMG_2431The Lewisburg River Town Team got off the ground in fall 2014.  We have been running committees and projects in a number of focus areas since then, but only just this semester got teamed up with a group of Bucknell seniors in the Environmental Studies Program to follow up on one of the big to-do items from our early planning process:  a public opinion survey about the community's connection to the river.

We are pleased to announce that that survey is now live.  We want your input.

The survey is available to be completed either online or in a print version.  You can pick up a print version from the Lewisburg Borough Office (55 S 5th St, Lewisburg) or from the Public Library for Union County (Reitz Blvd, Lewisburg).  Print copies can either be mailed to the Borough or dropped off in the submission box inside the Borough Office (open 8 to 4:30, M-F).

The students will be circulating the survey actively through the end of April, including flyering within the Borough and public outreach during the Festival of the Arts street fair (look for River Ambassadors who will be promoting the Selfie Scavenger Hunt for any and all attendees and asking people who are from the local area to complete the survey right there on Market St or at their booths).  They will provide a preliminary summary of the results at the River Town Planning Charrette.  The final product for their class will be put together in early May and will also include an account of the Charrette.

The online survey platform does not permit the inclusion of key links, so we note here for your reference that for more information on these issues and to get involved, please visit these river-oriented organizations' websites:
