Sponsor a Something for Walk It! Bike It!

In lieu of the cancelled Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser, Walk It! Bike It! Lewisburg is offering the Cross-Trail Winter Challenge. The goal is to journey along the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail mid-winter by any (legal) means possible. That means, regardless of the groundcover or weather that day, make some tracks. It could be a walk in the park… or in a blizzard.  No motorized vehicles allowed.  Traction aids may be advisable.
Anyone wishing to participate should meet at the 15th Street trailhead at the Lewisburg end of the trail the morning of Saturday, February 24, and be ready to depart at 9:30 am.  We’ll be making our way on foot, ski, wheel or snowshoe, as conditions permit.  Our planned destination will be the Rusty Rail in Mifflinburg.  If you would like a ride home from Mifflinburg arranged for you, please RSVP with your intent to join by Monday, Feb 19.
Will you be an intrepid adventurer?  Short of that, will you support our intrepid adventurers?
I’m pretty sure no one will be offering to do cartwheels the whole way there, but if the trail is bare, we might talk someone into trying to unicycle the whole way…
Did we mention that people in themed costumes are welcome?
