In October of 2012, the Woolly Worms were out in force in Hufnagle Park in Lewisburg, PA for the annual Woolly Worm Festival put on by the Buffalo Valley AM Kiwanis Club. The creatures were nudged and prodded, measured and inspected by a keen panel of local prognosticators. Upon consideration, the team made a prediction of a bad winter coming up. In February 2013, Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring – however, our Woolly Worms showed their usual accuracy, as the past winter just didn’t want to quit.
And now it's that time again. Come one, come all to Hufnagle Park in Lewisburg on October 12, 2013 for fun, games, music, and to see what wacky, woolly worm-based predictions will be made for the coming winter.
While you're there stop by the BRNC booth and pick up or make your own souvenir woolly worm.
This will be the 17th annual Woolly Worm Festival put on by the Buffalo Valley AM Kiwanis Club. The emphasis of the event is on fun for kids. Check out the Woolly Worm event posting on the Lewisburg Downtown Partnership site for full details.
