What Do You Know?
The LNC is pleased to pass along this message from a group of students taking ENST 411 at Bucknell.  Last year, we benefited from a group working on our River Town Planning Process.  This year's class has selected a new slate of projects, including this one to assess and report back on local awareness of environmental and conservation oriented organizations.  They also hope to help identify and address gaps in that awareness.  Here's a message from the research team:   We need your input to help with a Bucknell University project about our local environmental agencies and resource conservation concerns. …

We need your input to help with a Bucknell University project about our local environmental agencies and resource conservation concerns.  There is a quick survey linked below to gather information for the project.
This project  is for an Environmental Studies capstone course titled Environmental Community Projects. The four seniors working on the project are all Environmental Studies majors and are partnering with Penn Garvin and Mary Hague from the Susquehanna Valley Climate Action Network this semester. The students, Cat Orientale, Sharmen Hettipola, Ayesha Lilaoonwala, and Sara Palombo, are administering online and digital surveys to residents of Union County to gauge their knowledge of environmental agencies. They will also be conducting interviews with the public to determine any knowledge gaps or misconceptions that individuals may have about what these agencies do.  Footage from these interviews will be used to create a short video which will be shown at the CommUnity Zone's Protect - Preserve - Play Event in Hufnagle Park on Sunday, June 4, from 1 to 4pm in Lewisburg.

Please click here to take the survey.  Responses are appreciated by April 20.
