We are excited to announce and welcome Taylor Lightman as the new Director/Program Manager for Lewisburg Neighborhoods starting June 1, 2021. In this role, Lightman, originally from Lewisburg and a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School, will be responsible for operations such as events and activities as well as administrative duties including seeking funding sources, writing and submitting grants, preparing reports and assessments, and budgeting. 

Taylor joins the organization with a background in political organizing and a M.S. degree in Disaster Risk Management in Climate Change Adaptation from Lunds University in Sweden. He stated, “I’m thrilled to start this position and work to help improve my hometown. I want to continue all of our great programming from River Road Holiday to ‘Green Team’ while strengthening flood mitigation efforts and expanding housing opportunities.”

Outgoing Program Manager, Samantha Pearson, will remain with LN until the end of June to onboard and train Lightman. Pearson stated, “Taylor is simultaneously familiar to the community and an exciting addition.  Recapturing the interest and engagement of our talented young people is an important aspect of regional economic development. I'm thrilled to have someone like Taylor returning to the area and trust that his work will in turn help make the community that much more attractive for all.  It's great to be able to hand off this organization to him."  

President of the Board and Lewisburg Borough Councilman, Michael Derman, stated, "Taylor’s interest in improving our community is apparent both in his activities while attending school in Lewisburg and his enthusiastic pursuit of the Program Manager/Director position. The board looks forward to the knowledge and energy he will bring to continuing and expanding on Lewisburg Neighborhoods projects, events, and potential.”
