Welcoming, Walkable, Wonderful

2025 Polar Bear Plunge, Party, & Parade!

Coming on Feb 8, 2025 - the 21st Annual Polar Bear Plunge!

***This year we are also hosting an Ice Festival Slow Roll on Sunday, 2/9, at 1:00 pm, sponsored by CycleUp Cafe***

Part of the Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival, Plunge festivities start at 12:00 pm Saturday with the Pre-Plunge Party at the Brasserie Louis, 101 Market Street. Partygoers will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, tasting flights from Rusty Rail and Civil War Cider, and music from DJ Taylor. Admission is $20 per person, with proceeds supporting Lewisburg Neighborhoods.

At 2:00 pm the festivities move outside, where Plungers and spectators will parade down Front Street from Market to St. George Street. All are welcome to join this festive promenade! This year's Parade is being organized by the Lewisburg Arts Council and promises to be better than ever.

Starting at 2:30 pm, the first Plungers will take the leap into the icy waters of the Susquehanna River at S. Front Street and St. George Street, under the watchful eye of William Cameron Engine Company. Seven Mountains Media will be broadcasting live from the Plunge site as a crowd of hundreds watches the brave souls test their mettle against the elements!

Plunge tickets are $10 in advance, with group rates available. For an additional $10, pre-order your collectible 2025 Plunge knit beanie! On-site registration will be $15 per person, so get your tickets now. Spectators are always free!

Tickets for the Plunge and Party are now available online: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/21st-annual-lewisburg-polar-bear-plunge-and-pre-plunge-party-tickets-1103378557969.

  • Bucknell Community Engagement Fund
  • Pennsylvania American Water
  • Seven Mountains Media
