These days there are all sorts of bike-related activities cropping up in our area, whether it's our own West End Bike Ride, Rt 15 Crossing Tours, or the first Hidden Lewisburg Tour, or offerings from other organizations. Find your peleton and pedal on!
BEMBA (Bald Eagle Mountain Bike Association) will hold their September ride on Sunday, September 30, starting at 10am at McCalls Dam State Park. For more details, check out the facebook event here.
UnPAved is a big ride/race coming up in mid-October on Sunday, October 14, starting from the Miller Center. The event features a principal route of 120 miles (which includes 10,000' of elevation change!!! Gotta love that PA topography) as well as a series of reduced options, at 90, 54 and 30 miles each. They all head out the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail and then branch north to the Bald Eagle State Forest. There will be celebratory activities back at the Miller Center from 1 to 11pm that day. Looks like a great opportunity.
There have also been less intense Slow Rolls in recent years. Stay tuned for one such opportunity to Slow Roll to the new Bucknell Farm in mid-October. Those will be very family friendly.
Plus we're looking to come up with a kids' ride in collaboration with the Lewisburg Children's Museum.
